History
The Zonta Club of Austin, Texas was organized by Mrs. Thelma Schwab on May 30, 1951, with a dinner meeting held at the Hitchin' Post in Austin.
The sponsor of the Austin Club was The Zonta Club of San Antonio, Texas.
The charter dinner and installation of officers was held on June 12, 1951, at the Commodore Perry Hotel in Austin, with Mrs. Bonnie Enloe, immediate past Governor of District Ten, as the installer.

* To stimulate the desire of each member to be of service.

* To cooperate with others in the civic, social, commercial and industrial development of the community.These objectives have been, and continue to be, successfully achieved by the Club's membership.
